Jack Thomas is a professional instrumentalist based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra. He is a multi-genre freelance session guitarist. Jack Thomas began performing on TV at the age of 10, playing simple piano pieces on a children's program. He took up the guitar at 14 — the forbidden instrument and gravitated towards rock music. With the support from his family and friends, Jack became a self-taught guitarist. His dreams were crushed when the band broke up, and he paid his dues by moving on to Funk and Disco, doing RnB, Hindi, Bollywood, pop circuits and learning cocktail music; somehow finding time for country music in between. By 21, he was doing a stint as a musical director for Marathi movies, radio program, and Gospel. Jack versatility has enabled him to work as a recording session, an instructor at a music school in his city. He has authored instructional material still in use by schools today. Music legends have labelled him ‘part jazz, part funk, part blues, or purely any of them’ and ‘always playing from the heart’. Among others, Jack has toured or shared the stage with the metal band, Systemhouse33.
