Sunita Bhuyan is a professional violinist based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Her teachers were her mother, Minoti Khaund, and late Pandit VG Jog. Sunita specializes in Indo-jazz fusion and world folk styles.
This talented woman completed her master’s degree in music. She also has a master’s degree in Human Resources.
As a violinist, she is fond of experimenting with genres such as light classical and folk fusion.
Her first album was Bihu Strings by Times Music.
Awards: The Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for excellence in music Giants International Award for Women REX Karmaveer Global Awards Awards from Pope Francis at the Vatican for her music therapy for underprivileged children, cancer patients and people with disability
She organizes life improvement workshops.
Some of her recent projects are Commonwealth culture series UK, With Strings Attached , Edinburgh, Beyond Boundaries London, music for Save the Rhino by Yes Bank and CNBC, and a world music women’s quartet with the Peninsula Studios.
