Dhruv Sangari sings Hindustani traditional and Sufiyana qalaam. He started his profession as a vocalist with the electro-acoustic Sufiyana group 'Da-Saz', releasing the successful debut album collection Jet Lag in 2008 with Phat Phish Records. After briefly working as artist in residence at Colby School, US and with the dance-theater company, PVC, Germany, he returned to life as a full-time performance artist with his original Sufi troupe 'Rooh'. In 2010, Dhruv started working together with free artists from Delhi. He has featured on the album Hope (2011) and given voice on several compositions such as Lutt Jawan for movie Commando (2013) and Kyun Na by Amit Trivedi for Coke Studio Season 3 (2013). With an unmistakable fascination in classical music, its exploration, spread and documentation, Dhruv is a founding member from Ektara India, a UN-cited non-benefit social activism association. A full-time concert-artiste, he and his troupe have performed at a few noteworthy worldwide celebrations, museums, institutes and colleges. For example, House of World Cultures, Berlin, Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC and National Center for Performing Arts, Mumbai.
