Mustafa Raza Vichitra is a professional veena artist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.
He belongs to the Beenkar Gharana of Moradabad and Patiala and sought training in Vichitra Veena from his father, Late Ustad Ahmed Raza Khan Sahab, a renowned Vichitra Veena Maestro (Beenkar). As per the tradition, he has taken his taleem in Indian classical music.
Mustafa Raza is the only traditional player of this rare and unique instrument in the world. He has introduced his instrument in countries like Canada, America, Finland, London, Germany, France, Estonia, Sweden, Tunis, Syria, Turkey, Kuwait, Egypt, Istanbul, Qatar and Doha just to name a few in the world. He had participated in The Millenium 2000 Festival, a 24-hours festival in Paris and also in the World Music Festival, Estonia.
Mustafa has played duet/fusion with western instruments like cello, guitar, saxophone, piano, flute, oud, and harp just to name a few in all music festivals.
His music CDs have been released by renowned labels of London, America, Germany, France, Estonia, Canada, etc.
Along with being an A-Grade artist of AIR (All India Radio) and Doordarshan, he is also a classical music scholar (Ministry of Culture, Government of India). He has done diploma in Hindustani music was honoured with gold medals in several Hindustani music competitions. He has even composed devotional music, Sufiana kalam and folk music.
